Jet streaks in hydroentangled nonwovens

Abstract

Hydroentanglement is one of the leading technologies in the nonwovens sector. Manufacturers aim to produce textiles alike conventional textiles whereas they have to overcome some difficulties in the technology. One of them is jet streak dilemma. İn this study, we have analyzed the jet streak periodicity on the nonwovens by an off-line system. We have used co-occurrence method and Fourier analysis for our investigations. These methods have already been used to detect periodicity on textiles reliably in the literature.
