Abstract
In this study, the effect of fibre type and quantity on the concrete properties of fibrous lightweight and semi lightweight concrete which are produced from Gölcük region pumice and Atabey aggregates is investigated. During the experimental study, the water-cement ratio, cement dosage and the maximum particle size (19.1 mm) with the aggregate grading are kept constant in the lightweight and semi lightweight concrete mixture. Theconcrete added fibre steel quantities are 0-5-10-15 dm3. Two kinds of fibre named as ZP 305 was used in the concrete. The ultrasonic velocity and compressive strengths are determined on the 7th and 28th days and unit weight, water absorption ratio experiment are predicted on 28th day on the 12 series cubic specimen. The fibre affects the workability of the fresh concrete. On the other hand, from the experiment results on the hardened concrete specimens, it is seen that lightweight and semi lightweight concrete with fibre compressive strength increases with the quantity amount of fibre; but the fibre effect is not clearly seen on the ultrasonic velocity and unit weight.
