Abstract

However, after graduation, only a few of them have participated in trainings, seminars or meetings about the subject. While no significant difference was determined statistically in the mean total point of the scale, only the point of the phsycians were found higher than the midwives and nurses by the analysis of theCharacteristics of the Child Inclined to Abuse and Neglect sub scale points. Conclusion: As a result, it is seen that the awareness of the medical staff on the child abuse and neglect is not at the adequate level and there is no improvement in the sub scale points other than the sub scale of the Physical Signs of Abuse on the Children compared with similar studies performed in the past.
