TARİHSEL VE SOSYOLOJİK BİR DENEYİM OLARAK BİR ARADA YAŞAMA MODELLERİ

Özet

Toplumların bir arada yaşama deneyimlerinin sosyolojik arka planını açıklamaya çalışan bir çok yaklaşım bulunmakla birlikte söz konusu literatürde yer alan tartışmaları çokkültürlülük kavramı ekseninde ve iki temel yaklaşım etrafında toplamak mümkündür; bunlar liberal ve komüniteryan yaklaşımlardır. Çokkültürlülük kavramı etrafından şekillenmiş söz konusu literatürde yer alan eksiklikleri gidermeye yönelik çalışmalar halen devam etmektedir. Bu bağlamda elinizdeki çalışmada bir arada yaşama deneyimleri öteki ile kurulan ilişki çerçevesinde ve farkçılık, monizm ve evrenselcilik temel yaklaşımları bağlamında değerlendirilmiştir. Buna göre öteki ile kurulan ilişkinin çokkültürlülük kavramı çerçevesinde ve tarihsel bir deneyim olarak kavranması gerekliliğine vurgu yapılmıştır. Bu bağlamda öncelikle geleneksel toplumlardaki bir arada yaşama deneyimleri ana hatlarıyla incelenmiş ve akabinde modern dönemlerdeki çokkültürlülük tartışmalarının temelleri liberal ve komüniteryan yaklaşımlar çerçevesinde incelenmiştir Bu çalışma, öncelikle bir arada yaşama deneyimlerinin tarihsel seyri içerisindegerçekleşmiş deneyimlerin sosyolojik arka planını ele alarak, günümüz moderntoplumlarında deneyimlediğimiz liberal ve komüniteryan yaklaşımlardan farkını,bireyin kültür ve kimliğini konumlandırma şekillerindeki farklılık çerçevesinde elealarak ve konuyla ilgili gözlem ve literatür taramalarından hareketle açıklamayıhedeflemektedir.

Abstract

In spite of there are many approaches that try to explain the sociological background of the coexistence experiences of societies, it is possible to collect the discussions in the literature in the context of multiculturalism and around the two basic approaches; these are liberal and communitarian approaches. Studies aimed at eliminating the shortcomings in the literature, which are shaped around the concept of multiculturalism, are still in progress. In this context, the experiences of coexistence in this study have been evaluated in the context of the relationship with the other and the context of basic approaches of discrimination, monism and universalism. Accordingly, it is emphasized that the relationship with the other should be understood as a historical experience within the framework of the concept of multiculturalism. Primarily has been analyzed in this study the experience of coexistence of different cultures in a traditional society and secondly basis of the modern multiculturalism has been analyzed in the framework of liberal and communitarian approaches. In this study has been analyzed, the sociological background of the historical experience of living together. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to explain the differences between traditional and modern experiences of living together with reference to the literature research of the related field.
