Özet

Makine ve sanat zihinsel bir inşanın ürünleridir. Her iki varoluş da insanın doğayı dönüştürme biçimidir. Makineyi bir sanat ürününden ayıran şey ondan beklenen işlevsel özelliklerdir. Sanat tarihinde bu işlevsellik ayrımı çoğu zaman bulanıktır. Sanat kimi zaman teknik olabildiği gibi makine de kimi zaman estetik bir nesne olarak kabul görmüştür. Bu geçişken ilişkide sanatçı da bir teknik icatçı veya yalnızca estetik biçimler üreten kişi ve hatta bir makineye de dönüşebilmiştir. Bu dönüşümlerin en dikkat çekici olanı makinenin bir sanatçı kimliğine dönüşmesi olmuştur. Çalışma makine, sanat ve sanatçının sanayi devrimleri, savaşlar gibi toplumsan dönüşümlerin kırılma noktalarında yaşadığı kimlik dönüşümlerine odaklanır

Abstract

Machine and art are the products of a mental construction. Both beings are the way that man transforms nature. What separates the machine from an art product is the functional features expected of it. In the history of art, this distinction of functionality is often blurred. While art can sometimes be technical, machine has also been accepted as an aesthetic object. In this transitive relationship, the artist could also turn into a technical inventor or a person who produces only aesthetic forms, and even a machine. The most remarkable of these transformations was the transformation of the machine into an artist identity. The study focuses on the identity transformations that the social transformations such as machine, art and artist’s industrial revolutions, wars experience at the breaking points.
