Özet

Araştırma, Dünya denizlerinin farklı nokta ve derinliklerinde bulunan bazı nodosariid ve diğer bentonik foraminifer kavkılarındaki anormal oluşumların nedenini tartışmak amacıyla hazırlanmıştır. Türkiye'de Gökçeada ve Bozcaada çevresinden de anormal oluşumları destekleyen örnekler sunulmuştur. Üreme sırasında özellikle yaşam çevrelerindeki sıcaklık ve eser element değişimlerinin, kavkı topluluklarının oluşumuna etki ettiği sonucuna varılmıştır. Bunun dışında, anormal örneklerin raslantı sonucu elde edilmiş olması, foraminiferlerin üreme evrelerinin açıklığa kavuşturulması açısından önem taşımaktadır.

Abstract

The study deals with the abnormal occurrences of nodosariid benthonic foraminifera reported from the various places and depths of the seas in the world. A few abnormal individuals have also been found around the Gökçeada and Bozcaada in Turkey. The discussion is on the reason of abnormal occurrences in nodosariids. Environmental conditions such as temperature and trace elements around the studied materials indicate that they play an important role on these kinds of test occurrences. Besides, these remarkable very rare specimens accidentally found are also usable and important materials to interpret the reproduction history of nodosariid foraminifera.
