Karadeniz balı(delibal) zerirlenmesine bağlı senkop

Özet

Türkiye'de halk arasında delibal olarak bilinen; Brezilya, Ja¬ponya, Nepal ve Türkiye'de de Karadeniz Bölgesi'nde üreti¬len balda bulunan, Rhododendron Ponticunı isimli nektarın, şiddetli bradikardi ve hipotansiyon yaptığı bilinmektedir. Grayanatoxin I, diğer adıyla andromedotoxin yalnızca Erica¬ceae bitkileri tarafından oluşturulup toksikasyondan sorumlu içerik olarak kabul edilmektedir. Tipik zehirlenme semptomla¬rı genellikle gastrointestinal sisteme ait olup bazen yaşamı tehdit eden şiddetli bradikardi ve hipotansiyon gelişebilmek¬tedir. Biz de acil polikliniğimize Karadeniz balı yedikten son¬ra zehirlenme semptomları göstererek başvuran bir hasta sunduk.

Abstract

Honey which is produced in Brazil, Japan, Nepal and The Black Sea Region of Turkey is also known as the 'mad honey' by Turkish people and contains Rhododendron ponticum nec¬tar, which is known to cause severe bradycardia and hypoian- sion. Grayanotoxin I, also known as andrometoxin, is only produced by Ericaceae plants and thought to be the compo¬und which is responsibl for the poisoning. Typical toxication symptoms are assosieted with gastrointestinal system and so¬metimes may cause life-treatening severe bradycardia and hypotension. Here ice present a patient who admitted to our emergency department with the symptoms of poisoning after the with the black sea honey.
