Özet
Osmanlı üretim düzeni içerisinde pek çok imalathane bulunmaktaydı. Kireç imalathaneleri de bu büyük yapının bir bölümünü meydana getiren oldukça faal birer işletme idiler. Bu çalışmada kirecin teknik özellikleri ya da mimari yapılardaki tarihsel yeri değil, onun 18. yüzyıl Osmanlı ekonomisindeki konumu incelenmektedir. Gerek meskenler gibi sivil binalarda gerekse kaleler gibi askeri yapılarda ortaya çıkan kireç ihtiyacının tedariki için devlet faal bir şekilde sektörün içinde yer almaktaydı. Fiyatların ayarlanmasından, kirecin nakliyesine kadar pek çok yerde resmi makamların müdahalesinden bahsetmek mümkündür. Bu ise Osmanlı iktisat düzenindeki devletçi yapının bir tezahürüdür. İnceleme dönemi olan 18. yüzyıl aynı zamanda ciddi bir askeri‐sivil yapılaşma çağı olduğundan kireç imalatında canlı bir süreç görülmektedir. Kireç kadar kireç ustaları da böyle zamanlarda çok değerli sayılmışlardır. Makale, iktisadi tarih açısından neredeyse hiç konu edilmemiş olan kirecin, üretiminden tüketiciye ulaşımına kadar geçirdiği safhaları incelemekte olup, devletin ve sivil kesimlerin düzene katkılarını, genel iktisadi yapı ve anlayışlar çerçevesinden anlatma gayreti içindendir.
Abstract
There were many workshops in the Ottoman production order. The lime workshops which composed one part of this big structure were also too active ones. In this study, not the technical features of the lime or its place in the architectural structures were studied but the place of this valuable matter in the 18th century was investigated. The state was in the sector actively to supply the lime necessities both in the civil buildings like homes and the military ones like fortresses. It is possible to mention the state intervene in many places like from setting the prices to transportation of the lime. This is the manifestation of the statist structure of the Ottoman economic order. It can be seen a lively process in the lime sector because the 18th century was at the same time a serious militarycivil construction century. The lime masters were assumed very valuable as much as the lime in such these times. The article investigates the stages of the lime which have nearly not been investigated in the economic history and which include from producing to reaching the consumers and the article also tries to explain the contributions of the state and civil groups to the order in the frame of general economic structures and mentalities.
