Abstract

The Mamluk Turkish State afterthe death of Sultan Malik al‐Nāsir Muhammad b. Qal‐ āwūn entered an unstable turn of the throne. Sultan Muhammad adopted a harsh domes‐ tic policy, which meant establishing the central authority, and took its consequences shortly. But in the period of his sons after his death, this authority disappeared and the amirs interfered with the state affairs, causing an unstable process to emerge. Al‐Malik al‐ muzaffar Zayn al‐din Hājji was under the influence of these orders in the early periods of his reign because he passed on the throne with the support of other powerful amirs, especiallyYelbugkha al‐Yahyawī But shortly after his father adopted the policy of Malik al‐Nāsir Muhammad, he tried to establish the central authority by lifting the amirs that were active in the state from the middle of the state and lost his life. There are no studies directly addressing the history of the Mamluk Turkish State during the Sultan Hājji peri‐ od. We tried to deal with all aspects of the history of the Mamluk Turkish State in the form of an authority struggle between the sultan and the amirs.
