Özet

Montaj hatlarındaki verimlilik artışı, kapasiteyi artıracağı ve maliyeti azaltacağı için oldukça önem arzetmektedir. Pratikte çoğu üretim sistemleri bir ya da daha fazla montaj hattından oluşmaktadır. Ürünleri bir ya da daha fazla montaj hattında üretmede iki durum söz konusudur. Birinci durum talebin yeterince yüksek olması ve tek bir hattın kapasitesinin sözkonusu talebi karşılamada yetersiz kalması ve ikinci bir hattın kurulması ihtiyacıdır. Yani, aynı ürünün birden fazla özdeş hatta üretilmesidir. İkincisi ise her bir ürün talebinin, hat kurmak için yeterli büyüklükte olması durumunda, birden fazla benzer ürünün birbirinden ayrı montaj hatlarında üretilmesidir. Hali hazırda montaj hattı literatüründe, bu tür durumlar için, her bir hat ile ilgili bağımsız dengeler oluşturulmakta ve üretim gerçekleştirilmektedir. Bu makalede, birden fazla özdeş ya da benzer hattın bulunması durumunun sözkonusu olduğu hatların dengelenmesi için yeni bir felsefe ortaya konulmakta ve bu doğrultuda yeni prosedürler önerilmektedir.

Abstract

Productivity improvement in assembly lines is very important because it is able to increase capacity and reduce cost. Most manufacturing plants consist of one or more assembly lines. There are two cases to produce the products on one or more assembly lines. The first case is to produce the same product on more than one identical assembly line when the demand is high enough. The second one is to produce the different products on more than one separate assembly line when the demand is high enough for each product. In the current assembly line balancing literature, lines are balanced independently for each product. In this paper, a new philosophy for balancing the more than one identical and different assembly line is suggested and new procedures based on this philosophy are proposed.
