Integration of a CAPP system with the CAD system via ADS programming

Özet

Bu makalede CAD/CAPP entegrasyonunun "AutoCAD Development System" (ADS) vasıtasıyla gerçekleştirilmesi takdim edilmiştir. ADS, AutoCAD uygulamaları için hazırlanmış, C programlama ortamıdır. Dişli Maliyet Sistemi (DMS) olarak adlandırılan alın dişli çarklar için CAPP Sistemi, C++ programlama lisanında geliştirilmiş ve bilahare AutoCAD-R12 CAD Sistemine ADS yardımıyla entegre edilmiştir. DMS, konstrüksiyon esnasında maliyet bakımından en uygun dişlinin tesbit edilebilmesini mümkün kılmaktadır. Geliştirilen entegre CAD/CAPP sistemi mühendislerin geometrik konstrüksiyonu ve proses planlamayı birlikte gerçekleştirilmesine izin vermektedir. Sistemlerin kesintisiz çalışabilmesi konstrüksiyona, otomasyon, hız ve imalat maliyetlerini önceden görebilme imkanını verir.

Abstract

This paper presents Computer Aided Design and Computer Aided Process Planning (CAD/CAPP) system integration via "AutoCAD Development System" (ADS). ADS is a C-language programming environment for developing AutoCAD applications. CAPP system of spur gears, called Cost Information System of Gears (CISG), has been developed in C++ programming language and then integrated with AutoCAD-R12 via ADS. During the design process, CISG is able to offer the best cost effective choice for the gear under consideration. The new integrated CAD/CAPP system allows engi¬neers to perform geometrical design and process planning automatically. The continuity of the systems gives the design automation, speed and chance to know the production costs of the parts during the conceptual design.
