Özet

Konjenital sifiliz dünyada hala yaygın olan bir halk sağlığı problemidir. Dünya sağlık örgütü(DSÖ) her yıl bir milyon gebenin sifilizden etkilenmiş olduğunu bildirmektedir. Hastalık genellikle intrauterin dönemde etkili olmakta, spontan abortus, prematüre doğum ve ölüme sebep olabilmektedir. Bu yazıda doğumdan hemen sonraki yenidoğan döneminde ayakta büllöz deri lezyonları, gövdede maküler döküntüler ve ağız etrafında soyulma ile tanı konulan sifiliz vakası sunulmuştur.

Abstract

Congenital syphilis continues to be one of the major public health problems worldwide. The World Health Organization reports that 1 million pregnant women have been affected by syphilis. The disease usually affects the child during the intrauterine period and may lead to spontaneous abortion, premature labor and death. In this case report, a neonate presenting with bullous skin lesions on the feet, macular eruptions on the trunk and desquamation around the mouth just after birth who was diagnosed to have syphilis is reported.
