Yaşlılıkla ilgili tutumların değerlendirilmesi: Bursa'da 254 kişi üzerinde pilot çalışma

Özet

Yaşlılık olayına yaklaşım, kişinin motivasyonunu etkiler. Bu konuda bir ölçek geliştirmeyi amaçladık. 2008 yılında Bursa’da 60 yaş ve üzeri 254 kişiye anket uyguladık. Faktörler; A-Yaşlanma İle İlgili Düşünceler, BÖlüm Hakkında Düşünceler, C-Hayata Genel Bakış, DAile Statüsü, E-Hedef ve İdealler, F-Sosyal Durum idi. Tutumları 5’li Likert ölçeğiyle ölçtük. SPSS istatistik programında Yapısal geçerlilik için “Güvenilirlik” ve “Faktör” analizleri uyguladık. Multifaktöryel analizleri Spearman Korelasyon yöntemi ile yaptık. Çalışmaya 171 erkek (72,6±7,9), 83 kadın(72,7± 8,4) katıldı. Güvenilirlik analizinde, başlangıçtaki 60 soru 21’e düştü ve 5 faktör altında toplandı (Yaşlanma ile İlgili Düşünceler, Yaşam ve Ölümle İlgili Düşünceler, Aile Statüsü, Hedef ve İdealler, Sosyal Durum). Genel güvenilirliğin 0,891 olduğu görüldü (Yüksek Derecede Güvenilir). Ölçeğe “Fatih-Bursa Yaşlılıkla İlgili Tutum Ölçeği” ismini verdik. Ortalama faktör skorlarını hesapladık ve persantil tablosu hazırladık. “Yaşlanma ile İlgili Düşünceler” ile “Yaşam ve Ölümle İlgili Düşünceler”, “Aile Statüsü”, “Hedef ve İdealler” ve “Sosyal Durum” arasında pozitif korelasyonlar mevcuttu. “Yaşam ve Ölümle İlgili Düşünceler” ile “Aile Statüsü”, “Hedef ve İdealler” ve “Sosyal Durum” arasında, “Aile Statüsü” ile “Hedef ve İdealler” ve “Sosyal Durum” arasında ek korelasyonlar saptadık. Yaşlılıkla ilgili değişik tutumları belirleyen “Fatih-Bursa Yaşlılıkla İlgili Tutum Ölçeği” gelecekteki çalışmalara ışık tutacaktır.

Abstract

Approach to the elderly, effects the motivation of someone. We aimed to develop a scale in this topic. We applied a questionnaire on 254 elder subjects (60 yrs and older) in Bursa, within 2008. Factors were; AThoughts about Elderly, B-Thoughts about Death, COutlook to Life Generally, D-Family Status, E-Aims and Ideas, F-Social Status. We measured the answers with five-fold Likert type scale. We applied “Reliability” and “Factor” analyses for evaluation of Structural validity. We performed “Spearman Correlation” for multi-factorial analyses. 171 male(72.6±7.9) and 83 female (72.7±8.4) elderly people took part in this study. Initial 60 sentences were decreased to 21 and gathered under 5 factors (Thoughts about Elderly, Thoughts about Life and Death, Family Status, Social Status, Aims and Ideas) in the reliability analysis. General reliability of scale was 0.891 (High degree) in this time. We called this scale as “Fatih-Bursa Scale of Attitudes Against Elderly”. We calculated mean factor scores and prepared a percentile table. We observed positive correlations between Thoughts about Elderly and Thoughts about Life and Death, Family Status, Social Status, Aims and Ideas as well. Further correlations between Thoughts about Life and Death and Family Status, Social Status, Aims and Ideas, between Family Status and Social Status, Aims and Ideas were also detected. “Fatih-Bursa Scale of Attitudes Against Elderly” which may detect different attitudes against elderly, will throw light on the studies in the future.
