Hemşirelik öğrencilerinin klinik kavram haritesı kullanımının değerlendirilmesi ve görüşlerinin incelenmesi

Özet
AMAÇ: Araştırma Hemşirelik Yüksekokulu intern öğrencilerinin klinik kavram haritası kullanımının değerlendirilmesi ve klinik / alan uygulamalarında kavram haritası kullanımına yönelik öğrenci görüşlerinin belirlenmesi amacıyla tanımlayıcı olarak yapıldı. GEREÇ VE YÖNTEM: Araştırma . Dokuz Eylül Üniversitesi Hemşirelik Yüksekokulu 2002-2003 öğretim yılı, bahar dönemi dördüncü sınıfta öğrenim gören 32 intern öğrenci ile yapılmıştır. Araştırmanın örneklemini; cerrahi kliniklerinde 16 öğrenci, anestezi ve göğiis-kalp damar cerrahi yoğun bakım ünitelerinde uygulama yapan 8 intern öğrencinin hazırladığı, toplam 96 kavram haritası bakını planı oluşturmuştur. Klinik kavram haritası kullanan 32 intern öğrencinin tamamından alınmıştır. Kavram haritalarının değerlendirilmesi, araştırmacılar tarafından literatürden yararlanılarak hazırlanan kavram haritası değerlendirme kriterlerine göre yapılmıştır. Kavram haritasına yönelik öğrenci görüşleri, "Öğrencilerin Kavram Haritasına İlişkin Görüşlerini Değerlendirme Formu" kullanılarak değerlendirilmiştir. BULGULAR VE SONUÇ: Öğrencilerin cerrahi klinikleri ve yoğun bakım ünitesinde yapmış oldukları kavram haritası puan ortalamaları 84.82±6.51'dir. Öğrenciler; daha çok fizyolojik ve fizyopatolojik kavramların ve farmakolojik kavramların incelenmesinde hiyerarşik ve akış şeması kavram haritası tiplerini kullanmışlardır. Hemşirelik tanıları, sonuç kriterleri ve girişimlerin incelenmesinde, örümcek ve sistem kavram haritası tiplerini benimsemişlerdir. Öğrencilerin Kavram Haritasına İlişkin Görüşlerini Değerlendirme Formu'nun Cronbach Alfa iç tutarlılık güvenirlik katsayısı 0.94 olarak yüksek düzeyde güvenilir bulunmuştur. Öğrenciler kavram haritasının kullanımına yönelik maddelere verdikleri puanların ortalaması 4.15 ± 0.51'dır. Öğrenciler kavram haritasının kullanımına yönelik her maddede tam puana yakın puan vererek öğrenmelerinde etkili olduğunu belirtmişlerdir
Abstract
OBJECTIVE: This study is conducted in a descriptive study in order to evaluate the utilization of the clinical concept map by the intern nursing students and determine the opinions of the students about the use of concept maps in the clinical practice. MATERIAL AND METHOD: The study was carried out with 32 intern students who were fourth year students in the Dokuz Eylül University School of Nursing during the spring semester of the 2002-2003 academic year. The sample of the study consisted of 96 concept map care plans prepared by 16 students from the surgery clinics and 8 intern students practicing in anaesthesiology and in intensive care units of cardiovascular surgery. The opinions of the students are extracted from the whole of 32 students who used the clinical concept map. The evaluation of the concept maps was realized according to the concept map evaluation criteria which were established through the researchers' review of the literature. The opinions of the students on concept maps were evaluated using "The Evaluation Form Regarding the Opinions of The Students about The Concept Map". RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: Subsequent to the evaluation and the grading of the concept maps prepared by the students at the surgical clinics and the intensive care unit, the point average of the students was calculated as 84.82 6.51. The students mostly preferred to use the hierarchy and the flowchart concept maps for the study of physiological and physiopathological concepts. On the other hand, they adopted the spider and systems concept maps for the analysis of nursing diagnosis, result criteria and interventions. The Cronbach Alpha internal consistency reliability co-efficient of The Evaluation Form Regarding The Opinions of The Students about The Clinical Concept Map was determined as 0.94. The students gave points close to the highest level as they evaluated the efficiency of concept maps use. In this way, the students expressed that the method has been efficient in their learning process.
