Codex Cumanicus’ta Geçen ‘uyuḫısıra-’ Fiili Üzerine

Özet

Codex Cumanicus (Kodeks Kumanikus ~ Kuman Kitabı) tahminen 14. yüzyıl başlarında İdil Nehri’nin aşağı havzası ile Kırım yarımadasının kuzeyinde yer alan bölgelerde ticaret faaliyetleriyle meşgul olan İtalyan tüccarlar ile yine aynı bölgelerde misyonerlik faaliyetleri yürüten Alman rahipleri tarafından hazırlanan iki ayrı el yazması defterin bir araya getirilmesi sonucu teşekkül etmiş, bilhassa tarihî Türk lehçeleri araştırmaları bakımından önemini günümüzde dahi muhafaza eden çok kıymetli bir eserdir. Bu çalışmada, Codex Cumanicus adlı eserin Almanca bölümü olarak bilinen ikinci kısmında ‘uyuḫısırap’ şeklinde geçen bir kelimeden hareketle bilâhare başka muhtelif çalışmalarda işlenen ‘uyuḫısıra-’ fiilinin şekil ve anlam bakımından değerlendirilmesi yapılmış ve söz konusu bu kelimenin yapısı ve anlamı için yeni önerilerde bulunulmuştur.

Abstract

Codex Cumanicus (Kodeks Kumanikus ~ The Book of Cuman) was formed approximately in the beginning of the 14th century by bringing together two separate manuscripts that were prepared by the Italian merchants who occupied themselves in trading activities in the lower zone of the Volga river and in the northern regions of Crimean peninsula and the German priests who carried out missionary activities in the same aforementioned regions. It is a very valuable work that still maintains its importance especially in the historical Turkish dialects research even today. In this study, the verb ‘uyuḫısıra-’ which subsequently has been examined in several other studies, is evaluated in terms of form and meaning with reference to a word written as ‘uyuḫısırap’ in the second part of Codex Cumanicus, which is known as the German chapter and new suggestions are made for the structure and meaning of the aforementioned word.
