Özet

Amaç: Gastrik bypass uygulanan morbid obez hastaların prospektif olarak değerlendirilmesi. Yöntem: 2005 Mart – 2006 Ocak tarihleri arasında Şişli Etfal Eğitim ve Araştırma Hastanesi 3. Genel Cerrahi Kliniği'nde Roux-en-Y gastric bypass (RYGBP) uygulanan 7 morbid obez hasta prospektif olarak değerlendirildi. Postoperatif 1. ay, 3. ay, 6.ay da hastaların ağırlık, Vücut Kitle İndeksi (VKİ) değişimleri ve fazla kilo kaybı yüzde değerleri (%FKK) kaydedildi. Bulgular: Ameliyat öncesi hastaların ortalama ağırlıkları 122.14 kg (104-148), VKİ ortalama 47.29 kg/m2 (40.05-65.25) idi. Hastaların 6. ayda ortalama ağırlıkları 91.42 kg, VKİ 35.6 kg/m2, % FKK değerleri %48.79 olarak tespit edildi. Sonuç: Gastrik bypass morbid obezite tedavisinde hastaların kilo vermesini ve aynı zamanda obeziteye bağlı olarak gelişen yandaş hastalıkların iyileşmesini sağlayan güvenli bir yöntemdir.
