Abstract

The transition from school to work on the agenda after the 1970s with increasing youth unemployment with globalization, is important for the youth which is in this process as well as the economy in general. In order to benefit from the demographic window of opportunity, it is necessary to increase the employment level of young people and to make the transition from school to work more smooth. Because young people cannot find a suitable job which they can be employed affects the country economically negatively. In addition, the transition from school to work will be prolonged as the transition of young people to adult. Therefore, the failure of young people in transition from school to work can have a negative impact on their lives. However, studies on the subject in Turkey is rather limited. Turkey Statistical Institute in investigating the transition of young people into the labor market there are only two studies, including in 2009 and 2016.
