Profesyonel değerlerin tıp fakültesi öğrencilerinin deneyimleri üzerinden değerlendirilmesi

Özet

Amaç: Araştırma ile H.Ü. Tıp Fakültesinde gerçekleştirilen İyi Hekimlik Uygulamalarının Profesyonel Değerler ile ilişkili bölümünde öğrencilerin ön kabulleri, farkındalık ve hazır bulunuşluk düzeyleri hakkında bilgi elde etmek, bulgular üzerinden program geliştirme sürecine katkı sunmak amaçlanmıştır. Yöntem: Bu araştırma, tıp fakültesi öğrencilerin karşılaştıkları profesyonel figürlerin kendilerinde bıraktıkları izlenimler aracılığıyla profesyonel değerleri nasıl algıladıklarına yönelik nitel bir çalışmadır. Öğrencilerden kendilerini etkileyen bir hastalık durumunu ve karşılaştıkları bir hekimi profesyonel değerler çerçevesinde ve anlatı biçimine uygun olarak bildirmeleri istenmiştir. Veriler öğrencilerden elektronik gelişim dosyası aracılığıyla elde edilmiş ve nitel araştırma yöntemi ile değerlendirilmiştir. Araştırmada alanyazında kabul gören profesyonel değerler kategori ve tema listesi oluşturmada kullanılmış, öğrencilerin farklı bildirimleri ile liste şekillendirilmiştir. Bulgular: Elde edilen kategorilerden iki ana temaya ulaşılmıştır. Birinci tema bilgi ve beceri, ikinci tema ise tutum olarak adlandırılmıştır. Bulgular öğrencilerin tutuma yönelik bildirimlerinin daha çok olduğunu göstermektedir. Öğrencilerin bildiriminde tutum teması negatif yönü ile öne çıkmaktadır. Sonuç: Rol model sunarken bu değerleri olumlu biçimde öne çıkaran ortamlar ve öğrenme durumları yaratmanın öğrencilerin gelişimine katkı sunacağı değerlendirilmektedir.

Abstract

Aim: The aims of this research are to obtain information about students' prior assumptions, the levels of awareness and readiness to the professional values as a part of Good Medical Practice program at H.U. Faculty of Medicine to contribute the development process via research results. Method: This is a qualitative research about how medical students perceive professional values through the impressions of encountered professional figures. Students were asked to report about a disease status that had affected them and about a doctor they had met before in the narrative format and within the framework of professional values. The data were obtained from the students through the electronic portfolio, and assessed by qualitative research method. Professional values accepted in the literature were used to create a list of categories and themes. The list was redesigned according to the different statements of students. Results: The two main themes were achieved from the categories obtained. The first theme was called as knowledge and skills while the second as attitude.The results showed that statements of students about attitude were more than the others. The attitude themes negative side was prominent in the statements of students. Conclusion: It has concluded that creating learning environments and situations, which promote the positive values while presenting the role modeling, will contribute to the development of the students.
