Özet

Amaç: Yaşlı nüfusun artışının getirdiği en önemli sonuçlardan biri de, yaşlılara verilen sağlık hizmetlerinin artışıdır. Çalışmada; 2009 yılında Burdur İli’nde 65 yaş ve üzeri nüfusun 112 Acil Sağlık Hizmetleri kapsamındaki ambulans çağrılarının değerlendirilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Yöntem ve Gereç: Tanımlayıcı tipte planlanan çalışmanın verileri, Burdur 112 Komuta Merkezi’nin kayıtlarından elde edildi. Veriler, SPSS paket programında değerlendirildi. Bulgular: 2009 yılında Burdur 112 Komuta Merkezi’ne 7990 acil çağrı yapıldığı, bunların 1931’inin (%24,1) 65 yaş ve üzeri nüfusa ait olduğu belirlenmiştir. Yaş ortalaması 76,4 (±7,2) olan yaşlıların yarıdan fazlasını erkekler oluşturmaktadır. Çağrı merkezine en sık başvuru nedenlerini kardiyovasküler hastalıklar (%56,7), solunum sistemi hastalıkları (%12,6) ve travmalar (%10,7) oluşturmaktadır. Çağrılar en fazla yazın, Ağustos ayında ve salı günleri, 08:00 ile 15:59 saatleri arasında yapılmıştır. Sonuç: Yaklaşık her dört çağrıdan biri 65 yaş ve üzeri nüfusla ilgilidir. Çağrılar en fazla il ve ilçe merkezlerinden yapılmıştır. Çağrı nedenlerinin büyük kısmını kardiovasküler sistem hastalıkları oluşturmaktadır.

Abstract

Aim: One of the important consequences brought by the increase of the aging population is the rise in the health care needs by the elderly. The objective of the present study was to evaluate the ambulance calls of the population aged 65 and over in the scope of 112 Emergency Medical Services in the Province of Burdur in the year 2009. Material and Methods: The data of this descriptive study were obtained from the records of Burdur 112 Command Center. The data were evaluated using SPSS package program. Results: The number of emergency calls to the Burdur 112 Command Center in 2009 was 7990. Of these, 1931 (24.1%) were found to belong to the population of 65 years and over. The mean age was 76.4 (± 7.2) and more than half of these elderly people were males. The most common reasons for the call center applications were cardiovascular diseases (56.7%), respiratory system diseases (12.6%) and traumas (10.7%). Calls were carried out mostly in summer, in the month of August and on tuesdays, between 08:00 and 15:59 hours. Conclusion: Approximately one of every four calls was related to the population aged 65 and over. Calls were most frequently from the provincial and district city centers. Cardiovascular system diseases constituted the largest proportion of the causes of the calls.
