Evlilik Öncesi Çiftlerin Anne Sütü İle İlgili Algıları

Özet

Amaç: Bu çalışma; evlilik öncesi çiftlerin anne sütü ile ilgili algılarını belirlemek amacı ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Yöntem: Araştırma kesitsel tipte gerçekleştirildi. Araştırma verileri çiftlerin sosyo-demografik verilerini içeren soru formu ile “Erişkinlerin Anne Sütü ile İlgili Algı Ölçeği” kullanılarak toplandı. “Erişkinlerin Anne Sütü ile İlgili Algı Ölçeği” için güvenilirlik analizi uygulandı. Analizlerde Tek Yönlü Varyans Analizi (ANOVA) ve bağımsız gruplarda t testlerinden yararlanıldı. BULGULAR: Araştırmaya katılan 83 çiftin (n:166) yaş ortalaması 25,9±5,5’dir. Katılımcılardan %34,3’ünün (n: 57) anne sütü ile ilgili daha önce bilgi aldığı belirlendi. Daha önce anne sütü ve emzirme ile bilgi alanlar ile almayanlar arasında ölçek toplam puan ortalamalarına göre anlamlı bir farklılık görüldü (p: 0,014; p˂0,05). “Erişkinlerin Anne Sütü ile İlgili Algı Ölçeği” Cronbach alfa değeri: 0,912, ölçeğin toplam puanı: 125,5±15,7 olarak bulundu. SONUÇ: Daha önce anne sütü ve emzirme ile bilgi alanlar ile almayanlar arasında ölçek toplam puan ortalamalarına göre anlamlı bir farklılık bulunmuş olup; ölçek puan ortalaması anne sütü ile ilgili bilgi alanların, almayanlara göre daha yüksek bulunmuştur.

Abstract

Objective: This study was carried out to assess premarital couples’ perception of breast milk. Method: This was a cross-sectional study. The data of the research were collected through a questionnaire containing information on socio- demographic characteristics of the couples and "Breast Milk Perception Scale for Adults". Reliability analysis was performed for the “Breast Milk Perception Scale for Adults". One Way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) for analysis and t-tests for independent samples were used. Findings: The average age of 83 couples (n:166) who participated in the research was 25,9±5.5. It was seen that 34,3 % of the participants (n:57) have previously been informed about breast milk. A statistically significant difference was found between previously informed and non-informed couples about breast milk and breastfeeding in terms of average scores on the scale (p: 0,014; p<0,05) Cronbach’s Alpha value for "Breast Milk Perception Scale for Adults" was 0,912 and total score on the scale was 125,5+15,7. CONCLUSİON: A statistically significant difference was detected between previously informed and non- informed couples about breast milk and breastfeeding in terms of average scores on the scale. Total average scale scores of the participants who have previously been informed about the breast milk were higher than those of the non- informed ones.
