Özet
Yaşlanma ile birlikte bireylerde fiziksel ve ruhsal yönden bazı işlevlerde, sosyal ilişkilerde azalma ve kayıplar meydana gelir. Sağlıklı yaşlanma için sağlıkla ilişkili önerilerin yanı sıra, ekonomik, sosyal, toplumsal, kültürel vb. alanlarda da gelişmelerin sağlanması gerekir. Bu alanlarda, yaşlılar için ülkeler kendi koşullarına göre benzer ya da farklı sağlık ve sosyal hizmet sunum modelleri geliştirmiştir. Bu yazıda Türkiye ile seçilmiş bazı ülkelerde yaşlılara yönelik sunulan sağlık hizmetleri ve sosyal hizmetler karşılaştırılmıştır. Yaşlı sağlığına yönelik; sağlık, sosyal ve ekonomik hizmetlerin eşgüdümlü olması gerekmektedir. Bu noktada temel sorumluluk devlete ait olmalıdır. Sürekli, herkes için eşit ve gereksinim duyulduğu her an ulaşılabilir bir sağlık hizmet modeli planlanmalı, uygulanmalı ve en önemlisi de ülke çapında sürdürülmelidir.
Abstract
Aging of people results in reductions, even losses in a number of physical and mental fuctions and social relations. For developments in healthy aging of the population, health-related measures as well as economic, social, cultural and the like developments must be provided. Countries have developed various health and social service delivery models for the elderly, with similarities as well as differences, in compliance with the countries' resources. In this article, health and social services for the aging population are compared both within Turkey and in selected countries. Health, social and economic services for the elderly people must be coordinated. At this point, the main responsibility should belong to the state. There is a need for a continous, equitable and always accessible health services model for the aging population and such a model should be planned, implemented and most importantly sustained all over the country.
