Özet

Amaç: Bu çalışmanın amacı, destek hizmetlersunan özel bir şirketin mavi yakalı çalışanlarındastres algısı, stres yönetimi ve etkileyen faktörleribelirlemektir. Metod: Tanımlayıcı araştırma tasarımı ileyürütülen çalışma, Haziran- Ağustos 2015tarihleri arasında İstanbul'da destek hizmetveren özel bir şirkette yürütüldü. Araştırma,gönüllü katılan 820 çalışan ile tamamlandı.Veriler, Sosyo-demografik Özellikler Formu,Algılanan Stres Ölçeği ve Stres Yönetimi Ölçeğikullanılarak toplandı. Bulgular: Eğitim düzeyi ve sosyoekonomikdüzeyi düşük olan, haftada 48 saatten fazlaçalışan, bazen koruyucu önlem alan, korunmakonusunda sağlık eğitimi almayan, sırt ağrısı,uykusuzluk, baş ağrısı, mide problemi, kaskrampları şikâyetlerini çok sık yaşayan çalışanlarAlgılanan Stres Ölçeği'nden istatistiksel olarakanlamlı daha yüksek puan aldılar (p<,05).Kadınlar, gelirini yetersiz bulanlar, çalışmanınsağlık risklerini bilmeyenler, uykusuzluk,solunum problemleri ve kas kramplarışikâyetlerini "çok sık ve bazen yaşayanlar'' StresYönetimi Ölçeği'nden istatistiksel olarak anlamlıdaha düşük puan aldılar (p<,05). Sonuç: Mavi yakalı çalışanların stres algılarıortalamanın altında ve stres yönetim puanlarıise ortalamanın üstündedir.

Abstract

Aim: The aim of this study is to determine perception of stress, stress management and associated factors among blue-collar employees of a private company providing support services. Method: The study, having a descriptive design, was carried out between June and August, 2015 in İstanbul at a private company providing support services. It was conducted among 820 employees who volunteered to participate in the research. The data were gathered using Socio-demographic Characteristics Form, Perceived Stress Scale and Stress Management Rating Scale. Findings: The participants with lower socioeconomic status and educational attainment level and those working more than 48 hours a week, occasionally taking preventive measures, not having received health education on prevention, experiencing health problems such as back pain, insomnia, headache, stomach problems and muscle cramps frequently, scored significantly higher on Perceived Stress Scale (p<0.05). The females, the participants who perceived their income to be inadequate, those not being aware of health risks of their jobs, experiencing insomnia, respiratory problems and muscle cramps "sometimes or very often" received significantly lower scores on Stress Management Rating Scale (p<0.05). Conclusion: The perception of stress among bluecollar employees was below the average and their scores on the stress management scale were above the average.
