Hemşirelik Öğrencilerinin Hepatit B ve C'li Hastalara Bakım Verme Süreci ile Stres Arasındaki İlişkinin İncelenmesi

Özet
Amaç: Bu çalışma öğrenci hemşirelerin Hepatit B veC'li hastalara bakım verirken yaşadıkları stresdüzeylerini belirlemek ve bununla baş etmeyöntemlerini değerlendirmek amacıyla yapılmıştır.Yöntem: Araştırmanın evrenini, iki farklıüniversitenin Sağlık Bilimleri Fakültesi'nde eğitimgören 2., 3. ve 4. sınıf hemşirelik bölümüöğrencileri oluşturmuştur. Araştırmayı kabul eden407 öğrenciye anket formu uygulanmıştır.Araştırma verileri, anket formu ve "Stresle ile BaşaÇıkma Tarzları Ölçeği" kullanılarak toplanmıştır.Verilerin değerlendirilmesinde SPSS 21 istatistikprogramı kullanılmıştır. Bulgular: Öğrencilerin bulaşmasından en çokçekindikleri hastalıklar AIDS ve Hepatit B olarakbulunmuştur. Öğrencilerin %69,9'u Hepatit B'lihastalara bakım verirken stres yaşadıklarınıbelirtirken; çoğunluğu yaşadıkları bu stresin temelkaynağının da psikolojilerinin kötü etkilenmesiolduğunu bildirmiştir. Öğrencilerin stres düzeyleriorta seviye olarak belirlenmiştir. Hemşirelerin,stresle başa çıkma tarzları ve bulaşıcı hastalıklarlatemas öyküleri arasındaki ilişkiyi belirlemekamacıyla, iki farklı üniversitede yapılan buçalışmada, öğrencilerin en fazla "Kendine GüvenliYaklaşımı" en az "Sosyal Destek Arama"yaklaşımını kullandıkları bulunmuştur.
Abstract
Aim: This study was conducted to determine thelevels of stress among nursing students theyexperienced during care delivery for the patientswith Hepatitis A and B and their coping styles. Method: The universe of the study consisted of 593second, third and fourth-grade nursing studentsstudying at two different universities' Faculties ofHealth Sciences. 407 students, who agreed toparticipate in the study filled out a questionnaire.Research data were collected using the questionnaireand "Stress Coping Styles Scale". SPSS 21 programwas used to analyse data.Findings: Hepatitis B and AIDS were found to be thediseases that the students were most afraid of beinginfected with. 69,9% of the students reported thatthey were experiencing stress during nursing care forthe patients with Hepatitis B; most of them statedthat the main source of the stress was the negativeimpacts on their psychological well-being. Thestudents' stress level was found to be medium(44,2%). As a result of this study conducted at twodifferent universities with the aim of determining therelationship between nurses' stress coping styles andtheir stories of contact with infectious diseases, itwas found that the students used the "SelfConfidence Approach" most commonly to cope withstress and "Social Support Search" was least-usedstrategy.
