Özet
Amaç: Bu çalışmada, Ankarada bir kız öğrenci yurdunda kalan kız öğrencilerde, uyku süresi ve kalitesinin beslenme durumu ve vücut bileşimi üzerine etkisinin belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Gereç ve Yöntem: Tanımlayıcı türdeki bu çalışma, bir kız öğrenci yurdunda kalan 71 kız öğrencinin (yaşları 21,3 ± 2,1 yıl) katılımı ile bir anket formu ve besin tüketim sıklığı formu kullanılarak yapılmıştır. Uyku kalitesinin saptanması amacıyla, Pittsburg Uyku Kalite İndeksi (PUKİ) kullanılmıştır. Öğrencilerin antropometrik ölçümleri çalışmacılar tarafından yapılmıştır. Bulgular: Öğrenciler ortalama 7,1±0,9 saat / gün uyumaktadır. Öğrencilerin %62,0ının 0,05). Sonuç: Bu çalışmada, öğrencilerin uyku kalitesinin kötü olduğu ve yeterli - dengeli beslenmedikleri, ancak uyku süresi ve kalitesinin beslenme durumu ve vücut bileşimi üzerinde etkili olmadığı sonucuna varılmıştır.
Abstract
Objective: This study aims to identify the effect of sleep duration and quality on nutritional status and body composition in female students residing at at a Girls Dormitory n Ankara. Material and Methods: This descriptive study was conducted with the participation of 71 female students (21.3+ 2.1 years of age) residing at the Girls Dormitory, using a questionnaire and a food frequency questionnaire, The Pittsburg Sleep Quality ndex (PSQI) was used to determine the sleep quality, Anthropometric measurements were performed by the researchers. Results: The average sleep duration was 7.1+ 0.9 hours/day, Of the students, 62.0% were sleeping for + 6 hours, 29.6% for 6-8 hours and 8.4% for ≥8 hours, The average PSQI score of the participants was found to be 7.1+ 2.4 and 88.7% had bad sleep quality, The differences in energy-nutrient intakes and anthropometric measurements among participants compared by sleeping duration and quality of sleep was not statistically significant (p>0.05). Conclusion: The results of the study revealed that the sleep quality of the students was bad and their nutrition was not adequate and balanced, However, the sleep quality and duration of the students had no effect on their nutritional status and body composition.
