Özet

Amaç: Çocuk İstismarını ve İhmalini Önleme Derneği Gençlik Kolu gönüllülerinin çocukluk döneminde yaşadıkları istismar sıklığının ICAST-R kullanılarak saptanması ve sosyodemografik veriler incelenerek ülkemizde istismara yol açabilen sosyal risk etmenlerin belirlenmesidir. Yöntem: Kesitsel tanımlayıcı çalışmanın örneklemini Gençlik Kolu’nda yer alan farklı fakültelerde okuyan 18-24 yaş arası 138 üniversite öğrencisi oluşturmaktadır. Anketler 2013-2014 yılı içindeki bir eğitim toplantısında uygulanmıştır. Çalışmaya katılmayı kabul eden ve anketi tamamlayan 112 öğrencinin anketleri değerlendirmeye alınmıştır. Veri toplama aracı olarak 18-24 yaş arası gençlerin anımsayabildikleri çocukluk döneminlerindeki istismarı sorgulayan ICAST-R ve araştırmacılar tarafından hazırlanan Sosyodemografik Veri Anketi kullanılmıştır. Bulgular: Çalışmaya katılan 112 öğrencinin 23’ü (%20,5) fiziksel istismara, 51’i (%45,5) duygusal istismara ve 24’ü (%21,4) cinsel istismara uğradığını ifade etmiştir. Kız öğrencilerin %20’si fiziksel, %45,4’ü duygusal, %22’si cinsel istismara; erkek öğrencilerin %30’u fiziksel, %70’i duygusal, %44,4’ü cinsel istismara uğradıklarını belirtmiştir. Ailenin gelir düzeyi yüksek olanlarda cinsel istismar sıklığının daha fazla olduğu saptanmıştır.(p=0,042) Sonuç: Türkiye’de ilk kez çocuk istismarı ve ihmali ile ilgili eğitim almış, konunun farkında olan bir grup ile ICAST-R kullanılarak bir çalışma yapılmıştır. Çalışmanın, son yıllarda ülkemizde konu ile ilgili yapılmakta olan sosyal ve yasal düzenlemeler için yol gösterici olabileceği düşünülmüştür.
