Özet

Amaç: Bu çalışma Guthrie tarama testi için kan alımıişlemi öncesi ailelerin yapılan işleme yönelik bilgidüzeylerini belirlemek amacıyla tanımlayıcı tiptegerçekleştirilmiştir. Yöntem: Araştırmanın evrenini, 1 Kasım- 31 Aralık2013 tarihleri arasında GATA Haydarpaşa EğitimHastanesi Kadın Doğum Kliniği'nde doğan ve topukkanı için Polikliniğe başvuran bebekler ve ailelerioluşturmuştur. Araştırma evrenini oluşturan tümyenidoğan ve aileleri herhangi bir örneklem seçimyöntemine gidilmeden tamamı (n: 53) araştırmakapsamına alınmıştır. Veriler gerekli etik ve resmiizinler alındıktan sonra anket ile elde edilmiştir.Çalışma verileri değerlendirilirken yüzdelik dağılım alınmıştır.Bulgular: Annelerin %64.2' si 29-39 yaş arasındadır.Ailelerin %94.3'ü topuktan kan almanın önemli birtest olduğunu ve yararlı bilgiler sağladığını düşündükleri saptanmıştır. Ancak ailelerin %50.9'datopuktan kan alma işleminin çocuk için acı verici birişlem olduğunu düşünmektedir.Sonuç: Hastanemizde doğum yapan bütün ailelerin Guthrie tanılama testi için çocuk kliniğine başvurduğu ve Guthrie tanılama testi ilgili bilgi sahibi oldukları ancak istenilen düzeyde olmadıkları bulunmuştur

Abstract

Aim: This descriptive study was conducted toidentify the knowledge level among parents aboutGuthrie screening test before taking blood samplesfor this procedure.Methods: The population of this study consisted ofthe infants who were born in GATA HaydarpaşaTraining Hospital, Obstetrics and Gynecology clinicbetween 1st November 2013 and 31st December2013 and applied to the outpatient clinic for heelprick and their parents. All (n:53) of the newbornsand their parents constituting the population of theresearch were included in the study withoutsampling. The data were collected by using aquestionnaire after obtaining necessary approval ofethics committee and official permissions.Percentage distribution was used to assess the data.Findings: It was found that 64.2% of the motherswere in the age range of 29 to 39. 94.3% of theparents thought that the heel prick is an importanttest and provides beneficial information. However,50.9% of the parents considered that the heel prickis a painful procedure for the child.Conclusion: It was determined that all of theparents giving birth at our hospital applied topediatric clinic for Guthrie screening test and hadthe knowledge about this test, but their knowledgelevel was unsatisfactory.
