Özet

Amaç: Araştırma, taksi şoförlerinde sağlıklı yaşambiçimi davranışlarını ve ilişkili etmenleri belirlemekamacıyla planlandı.Gereç-Yöntem: Tanımlayıcı ve ilişki arayıcı tipteolan araştırma, 350 taksi şoförü ile tamamlandı.Veriler; Kişisel bilgi formu, Sağlıklı Yaşam BiçimiDavranışları Ölçeği (SYBDÖ) ve İyilik durumuindeksi (DSÖ-5) ile toplandı.Bulgular: Tamamı erkek olan katılımcıların yaşortalaması 47,20±8,87, %44,3'ü ilkokul mezunuve %54,3'ü orta gelir düzeyindedir. OrtalamaBeden Kitle İndeksi 29,05± 4,30 kg/m2, Bel çevresi104,03±10,90cm hesaplandı. Katılımcıların %63,1'isigara %38'i alkol kullandığını bildirdi. Ortalamaçalışma deneyimi 17,25 ± 10,80 yıl olansürücülerin %50,6'sı 24 saatlik vardiyalar halindeçalışmaktaydı. Grubun %83,4'ünün BKİ 25 kg/m2ve üstünde, %86,6'sının bel çevresinin sınırınüstünde, %86,3'ünün sedanter olması ve%70,4'ünün uygun beslenme biçiminisürdürmemesi dikkat çekiciydi. Eğitim durumu ileölçeğin sağlık sorumluluğu, beslenme, egzersiz vestres yönetimi alt boyutları ilişkili bulundu. Geceçalışanlarda beslenme, işinden memnun olanlardabeslenme ve kendini gerçekleştirme puanları dahayüksek bulundu. Sürücülerin DSÖ-5 puanına göre%54, 6'sı depresyon açısından ileri incelemeyigerektirecek düzeyde riskli bulundu.Sonuç: Taksi şoförlerinde sağlıklı yaşam biçimidavranışlarının düşük olduğu ve yarıdan fazlasınındepresyon açısından riskli olduğu belirlendi

Abstract

Aim: The aim of this study was to determine thehealthy lifestyle behaviours of taxi drivers and relatedfactors.Material and Method: This study used a descriptiveand correlational research design and was conductedamong 350 taxi drivers. The data were collected usinga personal information form, the Healthy LifestyleBehaviours Scale (HLBS) and the Well-Being Index(WHO-5).Findings: All the participants were male, and theirmean age was 47.20±8.87 years. Of the participants,44.3% had completed primary school, and theincome level of 54.3% was moderate. The mean bodymass index and waist circumference of theparticipants were 29.05±4.30 kg/m2and104.03±10.90 cm, respectively. Of the participants,63.1% stated that they smoke, and 38% reportedthat they drink alcohol. This study found that themean duration of employment of the taxi drivers was17.25±10.80 years, and 50.6% of them wereworking 24-hour shifts. The BMI values of 83.4%were greater than or equal to 25 kg/m2, and the waistcircumferences of 86.6% were above the limits. Ofthem, 86.3% were sedentary, and 70.4% were notmaintaining a proper diet. These results wereremarkable. The educational level of the taxi driversand the health responsibility, nutrition, exercise andstress management sub-dimensions of the scale werefound to be associated. The nutrition scores of thoseworking nights were found to be higher, while thenutrition and self-actualization scores of those whohave been satisfied with their job were found to behigher. According to the WHO-5 scores, 54.6% ofthe taxi drivers were found to be at risk of depressionto the extent that a further examination was required.Conclusion: This study found that the healthylifestyle behaviours of the taxi drivers were poor andmore than half of them were at the risk of depression
