An investigation on microstructures of cement paste containing fly ash and silica fume

Özet

Bu çalışmada katkı maddesi olarak kullanılan yüksek kireçli uçucu kül (YKUK) ve silis dumanının (SD), çimento hamurlarının mikro yapıları üzerine etkileri araştırılmıştır. Numunelerin XR difaktogramı (XRD) ve taramalı elektron mikroskobu (SEM) mikro fotoğrafları hazırlanmış ve incelenmiştir. YKUK ve SD katkılarının portland çimentosu (PÇ) ile reaksiyona girmeleri sonucu yeni bir kalsiyum silikat hidrat (C-S-H) jeli meydana getirdikleri görülmüştür. Diğer taraftan, PÇ hamuruna katılan YKUK ve SD sayesinde ettringite (Candlot Salt) oluşumu azalmıştır.

Abstract

In this study high calcium fly ash (HCFA) and silica fume (SF) have been used as admixtures to cement. The effects of admixtures on the microstructures of cement paste has been investigated. The X ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) micro photographs of prepared samples have been analysed. It has been observed that the reaction of HCFA and SF with portlandite which occured in pordland cement (PC) resulted in a new calcium silicate hydrate (C-S-H) gel. O" the other hand, the ettringite in portland cement paste was decreased by adding HCFA and SF additives.
