Hastanelerde Kurumsal Sosyal Sorumluluğun Önemi

Özet

Sosyal sorumluluk, kurumların belirli bir kamusal çabayı gerçekleştirmek veya paydaşların kârlarını arttırmak için temel hedeflerini yerine getirebileceği, ancak aynı zamanda diğer önemli hedefleri de yerine getirerek, içinde yaşadıkları toplumun memnuniyetine yönelik faaliyet gösterdikleri bir kavramdır. Kurumsal sosyal sorumluluk (KSS), mal ve hizmet üreten tüm kurumların üretimlerinin bütün süreçlerinde gönüllülük esasıyla göz önünde bulundurması gereken önemli olan bir konu haline gelmiştir. Toplumdaki diğer organizasyonlar gibi sağlık sektörü ve kurumları da sağlık hizmetleri sunma misyonuyla sosyal faaliyetlerde bulunmalı ve toplumsal sorumluluk almalıdır. Bu bağlamda sağlık sektöründe de hastanelerin KSS konusunda yaptıkları faaliyetler artış göstermektedir. Hastanelerin sosyal sorumluluklarını yerine getirmeleri sadece genel etik ilkelere ya da yasalara uygun davranmalarını değil, topluma faydalı gönüllü faaliyetlerde bulunmalarını gerektirmektedir. Bu derlemenin amacı KSS'nin tarihsel gelişimine ve faydalarına bakılarak, KSS'nin sağlık sektöründeki ve özellikle hastanelerdeki yeri ve önemi konusuna açıklık getirmektir

Abstract

Social responsibility is a concept in which corporations can meet its main goals of accomplishing a particular public effort or of increasing shareholders’ profits, but at the same time fulfilling other important objectives namely with public benefits. Corporate social responsibility (CSR), has become an important subject which should be taken into consideration with the based on voluntariness in the whole production processes of all enterprises producing commodities and service. Like other organizations in the society, health sector and its corporations, with the mission of providing healthcare services, should engage in the social activities and take its social responsibility. In this context, activities carried out on CSR by hospitals show an increasing trend in the health sector as well. The fulfillment of hospitals' social responsibilities requires not only compliance with general ethical principles or legislation, but also voluntary activities of collecting usefulness. The purpose of this compilation is to clarify the place and importance of CSR in the health sector by looking at the historical development and benefits of CSR
