Özet

Bu çalışmada, Feray Hergüner'in Dijital Anatomi Dersi (2014) adlı tablosu üzerinden temellük eyleminin resim sanatına katkısı irdelenmektedir.

Abstract

This study investigates the contribution of the act of appropriation to the art of painting with reference to Feray Hergüner’s Digital Anatomy Lesson (2014). The original painting is a masterpiece of Rembrandt; the Anatomy Lesson of Dr. Nicholaes Tulp (1632). In the first stage, the contexts, stories and arguments of the paintings are investigated. Then, the direct and implicit meanings are clarified by an iconological analysis method borrowed from Panofsky. It is argued that, the act of appropriation is not limited to criticism or irony; in this case, the artist offers an understanding of light, color and composition
