THE INFLUENCES OF INTERIOR DESIGN ELEMENTS OF CONCERT HALLS ON PERFORMERS: TURKISH ARMED FORCES HARMONY BAND SCHOOL CONCERT HALL EXAMPLE

Özet

Konser salonları, geçmişten günümüze, sanatsal ve kültürel etkinliklerin sergilendiği önemli mekanlar olmuştur. Düzenlenen etkinliklerin dinleyici ve izleyicilere en iyi şekilde aktarılması, orkestra sanatçılarının performanslarını en iyi şekilde sergilemelerine de büyük ölçüde bağlıdır. Bu sebeple, konser salonlarında ortamın ve mekanda yer alan yapısal eleman, donatı ve mobilyaların; ışık, renk, malzeme, fiziksel yapı ve görsel özellikler gibi konularda orkestra üyelerini tatmin edici ölçütleri sağlanması önem arz etmektedir.Tüm bunlar göz önünde bulundurularak bu çalışmada, TSK Armoni Mızıkası Komutanlığı Orkestra üyelerinden 100 müzisyenin katılım sağladığı bir anket uygulaması yapılmış1; Bando Okulu Konser Salonu'na ait çeşitli yapısal eleman, donatı ve mobilyaların, sanatçı performansı üzerindeki etkileri araştırılmıştır. Sonuçlar değerlendirilerek, Bando Okulu Konser Salonu yeniden ele alınmış; bu tür mekanlara yönelik çeşitli öneriler, örnek mekan özelinde dile getirilmiştir

Abstract

Concert halls are among significant places where artistic and cultural activities are performed. The feelings that these activities arise could optimally be transferred due to the highest performance of performers. Therefore, providing a sufficient space and ambiance for performer satisfaction in terms of interior design elements, such as structural elements, furnitures and accessories, plays an important role in the design of concert halls.In this study, the views of 100 artists -performing in Turkish Armed Forces Harmony Band Command and participated in the survey2 - on the design factors of architectural elements and furnitures of the Band School Concert Hall, were investigated. The said concert hall was dealt within the light of these results, and some case specific suggestions were put forward in terms of interior design. Performance art gives importance to the producing process, not to the product itself. This priority stems from the performative feature of the performance art. This study emphasizes upon the performativity of the performance art and the performativity of the voice in performances and the contribution of the voice to the relationship between the audience and the performance
