Abstract
This study, examining the concepts created by the new media applications used currently in the practice of video in the context of art, develops a focus on the image. The multilayered structure of this focus aims to create a new perspective on both the structural and conceptual framework of the video by examining the work of Michal Rovner and Sadik Kwaish Alfraji through the regime called “image crystal” by Deleuze. The rich image worlds of artists emerge in the relation between the empirical manners of the moving images and the life, and reveals connections it establishes in today’s world with digital images. First of all, the position of body and instrument in the interaction that video has formed with new technologies in the context of art will be discussed, and then the concepts of body, migration, and deterritorialization will be investigated through artists dealt with. As a result of all these discussions, the uncontrollable contexts of the image will differ with the perspective of Deleuze.
