Abstract

The questions of what art is and what it should be might also be answered with an explanation that art is a process that leads to a real social transformation that will change our lives and perspectives. In this context, the Dada movement, which emerged with the claim that art and life are the same, led many art movements that came after it. Later, avant-garde movements such as the Situationist and Fluxus became visible in urban areas with art practices. In this paper, the art practices overflowing the streets by implementing contemporary art projects will be examined, and the possibility of social transformation to be shaped through “building of an alternative everyday life” within the framework of the criticism of everyday life will be scrutinized.
