MUCİZE, GERÇEKTEN FELSEFİ-TEOLOJİK BİR PROBLEM MİDİR?

Özet

Mucize sözlükte, muhatabını aciz bırakan, hayret verici olay olarak tanımlanır. Dini bir terim olarak ise en genel anlamıyla bir çeşit tanrısal etkinlik olarak tarif edilir. Ancak tanrısal etkinlikten kastın, Tanrı tarafından gerçekleştirilen her türlü olay olmadığı, alışılmış düzene aykırı olarak gerçekleştiren olaylar olduğu ifade edilir. Bu çalışmanın amacı, din felsefesinin temel problemlerinden biri olan mucize konusunun, felsefi tartışmalara konu olmasındaki nedeninin, onlara yüklenen anlamlar olduğunu ortaya koymaktır. Bunu yaparken, öncelikle mucize kavramının dini ve felsefi tanımlarını genel olarak ortaya koyacağız. Ardından bu tanımların ortaya çıkardığı felsefi problemlerin neler olduğunu belirleyeceğiz. Son olarak da bu mucize tanımlarının çalışmamızın sınırlarını oluşturan teistik dinlerde mucize olarak kabul edilen olaylarla uyumlu olup olmadığını ortaya koymaya çalışacağız.

Abstract

“Miracle” is defined in the dictionary as an astonishing event that leaves its interlocutor helpless. As a religious term, it is generally described as a kind of divine activity. However, it is stated that the intent of the divine activity is not all kinds of events carried out by the god, but the events carried out contrary to the order. The purpose of this study is to reveal that miracles, one of the main problems of philosophy of religion, are subject to philosophical discussions due to the meanings attributed to them. While doing this, we will first reveal the religious and philosophical definitions of the miracle concept. Then we will determine what is the philosophical problems posed by these definitions. Finally, we will try to reveal whether these miracle definitions are compatible with the events that are accepted as miracles in the theistic religions that form the boundaries of our study.
