Abstract
Aim: Social Security Institution General Health Insurance Medical Goods Department has requested a suggestion on the dosage of daily nitric oxide (NO) use and treatment expenses to be used in the Health Practice Documents, its attachments and lists. Material and Method: When analyzed in the NO tubes, it was seen that the hospitals met the expenses of 93.58% of all the purchase in 2012, and 82.21% of the purchases in 2013 by 8 hospitals. Because our Institution represents 80-90% of all the hospitals, the ex- pense study was conducted at these hospitals. Results: Because the devices measure the variety in treatment and the gas spent are not being used in Turkey, it was concluded that it would be very difficult to determine a standard amount of money for session per day or hour. For this reason, it was decided that it would be more accurate that the whole treatment and an average treatment price be determined. Conclusion: The average installation expense for NO is 4.539.17 TL per patient at each hospital. It is much higher than the expense of any operation.
