Yumuşak kontakt lens kullananlarda nonkontakt tonometre ile yapılan göziçi basınç ölçümleri

Intraocular pressure measurements by noncontact tonometry in patients using soft contact lenses

Özet

Bu çalışmanın amacı yumuşak kontakt lenslerin göziçi basıncına etkisini belirlemektir. Otuz beş hasta çalışmaya alındı ve 70 gözde nonkontakt tonometre ile yumuşak kontakt lensli . ve lenssiz olarak göziçi basınçları ölçüldü. Hastaların 10'u hipermetrop, 25'i ise miyoptu. Miyop grupta yumuşak kontakt lens öncesi (sağ göz12.0±1.9, sol göz 12.0±1.7) ve sonrası (sağ göz 11.9±2.1, sol göz 11.8±1.6) arasında göziçi basınçları bakımından anlamlı fark yoktu (p>0.05). Bununla beraber hipermetrop grupta göziçi basınçları yumuşak kontakt lens sonrası (sağ göz 15.8±1.4, sol göz 15.8±1.1), lens öncesinden (sağ göz 13.6±1.4, sol göz 13.610.9) anlamlı olarak yüksek bulundu (p<0.005).

Abstract

The objective of this study was to detect the effect of soft contact lenses on intraocular pressure. Thirty-five patients were included in the study and intraocular pressures with and without soft contact lenses were measured by non-contact tonometry in 70 eyes. Ten of the patients were hyperopic and 25 were myopic. There was no difference in intraocular pressures before (right eye 12.0±1.9, left eye 12.0±1.7) and after (right eye 11.9±2.1, left eye 11.8±1.6 ) soft contact lenses in the myopic group (p>0.05). However, intraocular pressure was found significantly higher after (right eye 15.8±1.4, left eye 15.8±1.1) than before soft contact lenses (right eye 13.6±1.4, left eye 13.6±0.9) in hyperopic group (p<0.005).
