Kuru Göz Tedavisinde Girişimsel Yöntemler

Özet

Kuru göz medikal tedavisinde günümüzde çok çeşitli seçenekler mevcuttur. Ancak bazı olgularda tüm bu tedavilere rağmenistenen yanıt alınamamaktadır. Bu durumda çeşitli girişimsel yöntemler uygulanabilir. Girişimsel yöntemlerin başında en eski yöntemlerden biri olan punktum tıkaçları gelmektedir. Gözyaşının oküler yüzeyde daha uzun süre kalmasını sağlayan veciddi aköz yetmezlik hastalarında başvurduğumuz etkili bir yöntemdir. Son yıllarda kuru göz hastalarında meibomian bezdisfonksiyonunun öneminin algılanmasıyla bezlerin salgılarının drene edilmesine destek olan termal pulsasyon, intraduktalsondalama, yoğun pulse ışınlama (IPL) gibi teknikler başarıyla uygulanmaya başlanmıştır. Salgı yapan bezlerin transpozisyonu ya da transplantasyonu tanımlanmış ancak çok popülarite kazanmamış teknikler arasındadır. Kök hücre tedavileri geleceğe yönelik umut verici bir yötem olarak kabul edilmektedir

Abstract

Nowadays, there are various options in terms of dry eye treatment with an exponential increase. However, despite of the implementations of these differing treatments, some cases do not respond as expected or desired. In such cases, the focus mightbe oriented to interventional therapy. In this spectrum, the most conventional method can be considered as the PunctumPlugs. These plugs help the tear to remain on the surface of the eye for a longer period of time and it is a widely preferredand effective treatment for aqueous deficient dry eyes. In recent years, the acknowledgment of the significance of meibomiangland dysfunction in dry eye patients, lead to a successful initiation of the appliance of some therapies, aiming the glanddrainage like thermal pulsation, intraductal probing and intense pulse light (IPL). On the other hand, the transposition orthe transplantation of the secretuary glands have been identified but can’t be recalled as a commonly used technique. All inall, stem cell treatments are regarded as one of the highly promising methods for the future
