Çalışmamızda, retrospektif olarak, trabekülektomi ameliyatlarında intraoperatif lokal Mitomisin C (MMC) ve 5-Flurourasil (5-FU) uygulamasının göz içi basıncı (GİB) ve diğer göz bulgularına olan etkilerini araştırdık. Bu etkiler, 44 hastanın 51 gözüne uygulanan trabekülektomi ameliyatlarının sonuçları izlenerek değerlendirildi. Trabekülektomi sırasında 27 göze 0.5 mg/ml'lik MMC 3 dk süreyle, 24 göze 50 mg/ml'lik 5-FU 5 dk süreyle uygulandı. Postoperatif ilaçlı veya ilaçsız olarak GİB'nın 20 mmHg altında olması başarılı olarak kabul edildi. Postoperatif GİB'nın iki grupta da preoperatif değerlere göre düşük olduğu görüldü. GİB düşüklüğü MMC grubunda 23 gözde (%85) ve 5-FU grubunda 24 gözde (%100) görüldü. Diğer göz bulguları ve komplikasyonlar açısından iki grup arasında bir farklılık yoktu.

Abstract

In this study, we investigated retrospectively effects of intraoperative local Mitomycine C (MMC) and 5-Fluorouracil (5-FU) application on the intraocular pressure (IOP) and the eye findings. The effects of intraoperative local MMC and 5-FU application in trabeculectomy were studied, on 44 eyes of 51 cases. MMC was applied 3 minutes 0.5 mg/ml concentrated on 27 eyes, 5-FU was applied 5 minutes 50 mg/ml concentrated on 24 eyes. Postoperative IOP control was defined as an IOP less than 20 mmHG with and without medications. Postoperative IOP was found to be significantly lower in two groups. IOP was less than 23 (%85) eyes of the MMC group 24 (%100) eyes of the 5-FU group. There were no difference between to their eye findings and complications in two groups.
