Özet
Akut görme kaybı, sinüzit ile birlikte orbital sellülitin komplikasyonu olarak görülebilmektedir. Burada sinüzit sonucu kalıcı görme kaybı gelişen bir olgu sunulmaktadır. İntravenöz antibiyotiklerin hemen kullanılması, acil orbital dekompresyon ve sinüs drenajı ile görme düzelebilmektedir. Aynı zamanda diğer gözün görme kaybına uğrama riski de azaltılmaktadır.
Abstract
Acute visual loss may occur in association with sinusitis as acomplication of orbital cellulitis. We herein present one case of irreversible visual loss caused by sinusitis. The prompt use of intravenous antibiotics in combination with early orbital decompression and drainage of the sinuses may result in recovery of vision. Also, the threat of visual loss occuring in the fellow eye may be reduced.
