Özet
AMAÇ: Korneanın in vivo konfokal mikroskopi ile muayenesi. BULGULAR: in vivo LSU prototip konfokal mikroskobu kullanılarak normal kornea anatomisi ve kornea neovaskülarizasyonuna ait görüntüler in vivo iki boyutlu (x,y) 400x400µ m ve 9µ m doku derinliği (z) şeklinde elde edildi.
Abstract
PURPOSE: The examination of the cornea by using in vivo confocal microscopy. MATERIALS AND METHODS: The corneas of normal eyes and one cornea with neovascularization were examined by using in vivo confocal microscopy. The images were stored in VHS videotape then digitized on a computer and photographed. RESULTS: Two dimensional (x,y) 400x400µm images (9µm z-axis thickness) of normal corneal anatomy and corneal neovascularization were obtained by using in vivo LSU prototype confocal microscopy. CONCLUSION: in vivo clinical confocal microscopy provides the images of normal corneal anatomy and corneal neovascularization noninvasively and also gives dinamic informations from a living tissue that are not available currently with any other technologies. For this reason the clinical use of confocal microscopy in ophthalmic practice and scientific researches has highly increased in recent years.
