Özet
Çocuklarda, asimetrik horizontal veya monoküler nistagmus sıklıkla optik kiazmanın iç ve dışındaki lezyonlarla birlikte olmaktadır. Bu yazıda 14 aylık bir erkek çocukta saptanan asimetrik nistagmus ve beyin içi kitle değerlendirilmiştir. Eğer nistagmus horizontal asimetrik veya tek taraflı ise, beyin içi patolojiden başka, tek taraflı görme kayıpları ve "spasmus nutans"ın da araştırılması önerilir.
Abstract
Asymmetric horizontal or monocular nystagmus often occurs with intrinsic or extrinsic lesions of the optic chiasm in the paediatric population. In this article, asymmetric nystagmus and intracranial mass, has been evaluated in a 14 month boy. If the nystagmus is horizontal asymmetric or unilateral, it is suggested that in addition to intracranial pathology, causes monocular visual loss and spasmus nutans also must be investigated.
