Bir katarakt olgusunda karbakol allerjisi

Özet

Katarakt cerrahisinde kullanılan solusyonlara bağlı allerjik reaksiyon nadir görülen bir durum degildir. Allerjinin derecesi, allerjene ve oluşturduğu immünolojik reaksiyonun tipine göre degişkenlik gösterir. Katarakt nedeniyle opere edilen 59 yaşındaki bir erkek hastada, operasyon sırasında, intrakamaral karbakol kullanımına bağlı şiddetli allerjik reaksiyon gelişmiştir. Bu reaksiyon yaygın olarak kornea, iris, sklera ve konjonktiva da içermiştir. Postoperatif dönemde topikal ve oral steroid tedavisi uygulanmış ve bu tedaviye iyi cevap alınmıştır.

Abstract

An allergic reaction to the solutions that are used during cataract surgery is not rare. The extent of allergy differs according to the allergen and the type of the immunologic reaction. In a male patient who underwent cataract surgery, an intense allergic reaction to intracameral carbachol use developed. Cornea, iris, sclera and conjunctiva were involved in this allergic reaction. Good response was achieved to topical and oral steroid treatment in the postoperative period.
