Özet

Katarakt cerrahisi sonrası herpetik endotelit nadir görülen bir durumdur. Cerrahi travma ve postoperatif kullanılan steroid tedavisi altında geçirilmiş herpetik keratit öyküsü olmayan hastalarda da postoperatif herpetik endotelit görülebileceği akılda tutulmalıdır. Biz sorunsuz fakoemülsifikasyon sonrası postoperatif 4. haftada difüz herpetik endotelit tanısı almış 75 yaşında kadın hastayı sunmaktayız.

Abstract

Herpetic endotheliitis is a rare association after cataract surgery. We have to remember surgical trauma along with topical corticosteroid therapy may result in herpetic endotheliitis even in patients with no clinical history of herpetic keratitis. We present a 75 year old female patient who underwent uneventful phacoemulsification surgery is diagnosed as diffuse herpetic endotheliitis at postoperative 4th week.
