Abstract

Oguchi’s disease is a rare autosomal recessive form of a congenital stationary night blindness. A characteristic golden-yellow fundus discoloration is observed in the retinal periphery of patients. This fundus discoloration disappears and the fundus color returns to normal after a long period of dark adaptation and this is known as the ‘Mizue Nakamura’ phenomenon. Though the clinical findings of this rare disease had been described in detail, the features in optical coherence tomography are relatively recent. Herein we describe the features observed in OCT of a case that was admitted with complaint of night blindness and was diagnosed as Oguchi’s disease.
