Veri zarflama analizi yöntemi ile hastane verimliliklerinin incelenmesi

Özet

Bu çalışmada Türkiye’deki hastanelerin verimliliklerinin sahipliklerine göre incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Hastanelerin verimlilik değerlendirilmesinde çoklu girdi ve çoklu çıktıyı analiz edebilen Veri Zarflama Analizi (VZA) yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Hastane girdi ve çıktılarının belirlenmesinde Türkiye’deki doktorlar ile bir ön çalışma yapılmıştır. Türkiye’deki hastane verimliliklerinin sahipliklerine göre anlamlı bir şekilde farklılaştığı görülmüştür. Ayrıca süper verimlilik (super-efficiency) analizleri kullanılarak verimli hastaneler arasındaki farklılıklar ortaya konmuştur.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to investigate the efficiency of the hospitals in Turkey. Data Envelopment Analyses (DEA) technique which enables the analyses of multiple inputs and outputs is used to evaluate the efficiency of hospitals. A pre-study is conducted with the doctors in Turkey in order to identify the inputs and outputs. The analyses of data show that the efficiency of hospitals is significantly different based on their ownerships. In addition, the differences between efficient hospitals are identified by using super-efficiency analyses.
