Araştırmaya 49’u deney, 49’u kontrol grubunda olmak üzere beşinci sınıfta öğrenim görmekte olan 98 öğrenci katılmıştır. Araştırmada eşitlenmemiş kontrol gruplu ön ve son test desen kullanılmış, yarı yapılandırılmış görüşmeler yapılmıştır. Dersler deney grubunda analoji, kontrol grubunda analoji kullanılmadan işlenmiştir. İki sorudan oluşan veri toplama aracıyla toplanan veriler içerik analizi ile çözümlenmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda analoji kullanımının öğrenme ve kavram yanılgılarının giderilmesi üzerinde etkili olduğu saptanmıştır.

The study was executed with 98 fifth grade students, 49 students were in experiment group and 49 students were in the control group. The unmatched control group pretest and posttest design was used in this study, interviews were done in this study. While the lessons in the experimental group were taught with analogy, the lessons in the control group were taught without analogy. A data collection form consisting of two questions was used in this study. Data was analyzed using content analysis. As a result of the research, it has been found that the using of analogy is more effective on the learning and elimination of misconceptions.
