Abstract

The present study was undertaken to demonstrate the neuromuscular effects of rocuronium bromide in-patients who were given sevoflurane or isoflurane anesthesia. Demographically correlated fourty patients (ages 20-65), ASA class I-II undergoing orthopedics surgery in Ankara Numune Hospital were included in the study. Patients were randomly divided into two groups. Each group was administered either isoflurane+$N_{2}O$:$O_2$ (66:34) (Group 1) or sevoflurane+$N_{2}O$:$O_2$ (66:34) (Group 2) with rocuronium bromide (0.6mg/kg). All of the patients were monitorized for the onset time, $T_125$, $t_175$, recovery index, $t_190$, and $TOF_70$, parameters. As a result, we concluded that both sevoflurane and isoflurane have similar effect for the potensialisation of rocuronium bromide's neuromuscular effect.
