Özet

Prostetik kapak trombozu hayatı tehdit eden önemli bir komplikasyondur. Genellikle uygunsuz antikoagulan kullanımı sonucu görülmektedir. Prostetik kapak trombozunda tercih edilen tedavi cerrahidir. Sol taraf prostetik kapak trombozunda trombolitik tedavi; cerrahi girişim yüksek riskli olduğunda ve trombüs nispeten küçük olduğunda ilk tedavi seçeneği olarak düşünülebilir. Bu olgu, tekrarlayan prostetik kapak trombozunda t-PA tedavisinin başarısını göstermektedir (Pam Med J 2008;2(2):101-103)

Abstract

Prosthetic valve thrombosis is a life threatening complication. It usually occurs due to inadequate anticoagulation. Surgical approach is the preferred treatment strategy in these patients. Thrombolytic therapy may be considered as a first-line therapy in left-sided prosthetic valve trombosis if surgery carries high risk and clot burden is small. The present case demonstrates the benefical effects of t-PA in recurrent prosthetic valve thrombosis (Pam Tıp Derg 2009;2(2):101-103)
