KONAKLAMA İŞLETMELERİNDE FİNANSAL BAŞARISIZLIĞA NEDEN OLAN FAKTÖRLERİN DEMATEL YÖNTEMİYLE ANALİZİ: DOĞU KARADENİZ ÖRNEĞİ

ANALYSIS OF FACTORS CAUSING FINANCIAL FAILURE IN ACCOMMODATION ENTERPRISES BY DEMATEL METHOD: THE CASE OF EASTERN BLACK SEA

Özet

Turizm özellikle gelişmiş ülkelerden az gelişmiş ve gelişmekte olan ülkelere doğru bir gelir akışı meydana getirerek söz konusu ülkelerde ekonomi üzerinde belirleyici özelliğe sahip sektörlerden biri olarak dikkat çekmektedir. Bu anlamda turizm faaliyetlerinin başarısı ülke ekonomileri için son derece önemlidir. Turizmin en belirleyici unsurlarının başında ise konaklama işletmeleri gelmektedir. Turizmden istenen faydanın sağlanabilmesinde konaklama işletmelerinin rolü büyüktür. Konaklama işletmelerinde özellikle finansal açıdan yaşanacak bir başarısızlık öncelikle turizm faaliyetleri ve dolayısıyla da ülke ekonomileri üzerinde çok ciddi olumsuz etkilere sebebiyet verecektir. Bu noktadan hareketle bu çalışmanın amacı Türkiye’de konaklama işletmelerinde finansal başarısızlığa yol açan faktörlerin Doğu Karadeniz örneği üzerinden DEMATEL yöntemiyle analiz edilmesidir. Çalışmanın sonucunda yönetim hatalarının konaklama işletmeleri açısından en önemli finansal başarısızlık faktörü olduğu, ayrıca işletme ölçeği ve satış ve gelirde azalma faktörlerinin diğer faktörlerden en çok etkilenen faktörler olduğu ortaya koyulmuştur.

Abstract

Tourism attracts attention as one of the sectors that has a decisive feature on economics in the mentioned countries, especially by bringing an income stream to developed and underdeveloped countries from developed countries. In this sense, the success of tourism activities is extremely important for the country’s economy. One of the most decisive elements of tourism is accommodation. The accommodation businesses have a great role in order to provide the desired benefit from tourism. A particularly financial failure in the accommodation businesses will cause very serious adverse effects on tourism activities and therefore on the economy of the countries. From this point of view, the aim of this study is to analyze the factors that cause financial failure in accommodation businesses in Turkey.through DEMATEL method over the case of Eastern Black Sea. As a result of the study, it has been revealed that management mistakes are the most important financial failure factors in terms of accommodation businesses and also that the business scale and sales and income reduction factors are the most influenced factors among other factors.
