Tifo'lu ve A hepatitli bir olgu

Özet

15 yaşında, ateş ve sarılık şikayetleri ile başvuran hasta, yapılan fizik muayene ve rutin laboratuvar testleri sonucunda tifo ön tanısı ile yatırıldı. Bu tanı, Gruber Widal aglutinasyon testinin yanısıra, hastanın kan ve gaita kültürlerinden Salmonella typhi'nin üretilmesi ile doğrulandı. Vaka, ilk önce tifoya bağlı hepatit gibi yorumlanırken, hastanın viral hepatit markerlerine bakıldığında anti-HA V IgM'in yüksek fitrede pozitif bulunması üzerine, beraberinde A hepatiti tanısı da aldı. Bu olgu ile benzer yolla bulaşan bu iki hastalığın, endemik oldukları bölgelerde nadir de olsa bir arada bulunabileceğini vurgulamak istedik.

Abstract

Fifteen years old male patient with fever and jaundice was admitted to our hospital. Physical examination and appropriate routine laboratory tests were consistent with typhoid fever. The diagnosis was confirmed by Gruber? Widal agglutination test. Growing strains ofS.typhi were seen on blood and stool cultures. We also found high titers of IgM against hepatitis A virus. With this case we want to mention the rare coexistence of this two endemic diseases that infect humans by the same way.
